June 6th, 2020 was Maddox's FOURTH birthday! He has been looking forward to it for so long! We hoped this would be the year for a fire station birthday party after having to cancel last year's due to illness but the coronavirus had different plans. Thankfully, he is super flexible and just wanted tone celebrated so we did that 100%.
The day was a little odd with me being quarantined awaiting the coronavirus test but I participated a bit when they did things in the hallway near the bedroom or by walking out wearing my mask and keeping my distance. We made it work!
We always start the day with balloons and the birthday song. He loves a ballon!
Before breakfast, he opened a few cards and a present or two.
Big brother is always around to help. ❤️
His Aunt Holly, Uncle Mitch and cousins sent an envelope full of cards. He loved that.
His breakfast request was biscuits and cinnamon rolls and Oreos. DONE!

Chocolate milk mustaches are the BEST!
He wanted a birthday hat which we had not purchased so Matt made one to the best of his ability.
He opened his next present in the hallway and he KNEW immediately upon picking it up and shaking it that it was legos. This boy KNOWS!
Matt took the boys outside for a bit that morning because it was so so nice. Maddox just decided he needed to pee. #StoryOfABoyMom

Bike riding has been the best thing the boys have clung to in coronavirus/quarantine time.
He opened a present from Mason and it was a new puzzle.
Lunch was Bojangles per request and we were so glad we could get that delivered since we weren't going out per MD order.
After lunch and rest time, he opened some more presents and cards. (We laughed because he opened his first present around 8:00a.m. and his last present at around 5/6:00p.m. It was fun to spread them out.)
Grammy and PopPop sent a monster!!

Maddox's cake request was chocolate cake, vanilla icing and mint Oreos. He had never had mint Oreos so I was nervous but his risk paid off because he LOVED it! Matt made it and did an awesome job!! 🎉
