Cloth Diaper Wearin' Baby!

We have had some tough days with our cloth diapers such as not getting them clean enough, smelling stinky etc. BUT now that we have gotten that taken care of, we are back on track.

Besides the issues, how cute is this little fella in his cloth diapers!?!?!

Blurry, because this guy is always on the move!!

We LOVE our cloth diapers!

Mom's Night Out + Devotional {A Book Review}

Moms Night Out Tricia Goyer Kerri Pomarolli
*I received this book from Litfuse in exchange for my review and participation in the blog tour.

I am a part of a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group and some of the steering team from our group was able to see an early screening of this movie. They all raved about it and said it was awesome! After hearing them talk, I knew I wanted to see the movie. Not long after that, I got the e-mail from Litfuse about the blog tour for this book based on the movie, Mom's Night Out. I was so excited because I much prefer to read a book before seeing a movie than seeing the movie before reading the book.

Personal preference. I got the book at the beginning of a week and was unable to start until Wednesday evening of that same week. I sat down and read for an hour and read 1/2 of the book. The next morning I got up early to finish it. It had me laughing so much. There were also a few parts of "Awww" sad moments. The book was good for my soul. I must admit, it was a little over the top at times but that's part of what made it so funny to me. I loved the intertwining of so many mom perspectives throughout the book.

I also received the devotional to go along with the book. I haven't read the whole book because that's not how devotionals are supposed to be read, all in one sitting. I have, however, read one devotional for each day since receiving the book and I love it. It's down to earth, realistic, and inspiring. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of them in the days to come.

Here's the trailer on YouTube as well...
Litfuse provides this information about the book. Check out the awesome challenge, too!

Motherhood can sometimes seem like survival of the fittest. Every day brings its own troubles, and by the end of the day, you’re spent. Between school, soccer practice, cleaning, laundry, cooking dinner, putting away dishes, and keeping your kids from going at each others’ throats, the last thing on your mind is getting away for an evening. If that’s you, you’re invited to take part in Tricia and Kerri's No More Frumpy Mommy challenge.

Tricia and Kerri will choose 10 winners to receive a Fandango gift card to see Moms' Night Out, as well as copies of Moms' Night Out (the book) and Moms' Night Out and Other Things I Miss. One grand-prize winner will receive $200 to put toward her own moms' night out or her own moms' night out "ride" (getting her car detailed and cleaned).

Reasons My Kid Is Crying {A Book Review}

Y'all, I love reading books. Right after my husband and I were married and life was changing so much (for the better...duh!), I stopped reading as much. Then,  we moved just 11 months later and I was working so much. Then, I got pregnant and I read books but they were all about pregnancy, delivery, parenting, etc. Now, the little guy is on a great schedule and has been for the last several months. This means that this year, I've read a total of 20 books now!!! I'm on a roll. :)

Most of the books that I've read have been fiction with some spiritual growth books mixed in along with a few children's books. Well, today I'm reviewing just a downright HILARIOUS book! When I told Matt that I was waiting for this book to come in the mail and how excited I was because it sounded so funny, he looked at me strangely. I questioned him and he responded with shock that I had not heard of this Tumblr yet! Where have I been!?!

Anyway, to the book!

This book came int he mail as we were leaving for date night this week and it couldn't have been more perfect. We read a few in the car, at the restaurant and while we ate our ice cream. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. I guess this is what we have to look forward to! :)

Reasons My Kid is Crying is a compilation of pictures and captions by Greg Pembroke (Author Biothat show babies crying and the witty caption tells why the baby is crying. The example on the front of the book says "We gave him delicious pudding." (Book Excerpt

Greg initially began writing a Tumblr when he started spending some of his days at home with his boys and couldn't believe some of his experiences. He did an excellent job compiling the pictures and captions from all over the world and honestly, I hope there is a book 2 one day!  I love that there are spaces in the back to put pictures and captions from your own child. I am certain we will do this soon!

I think this book is a great coffee table book and a super fun book to give a friend at a baby shower just for extra laughs!

Thanks for the awesome book, Greg.

Momma's got a new hairdo!

My hair has been long for over 4 years. I enjoy having it long but with a little guy with a quick set of hands that can grasp well but not quite let go, it was getting tough! I decided to go for the big cut!

Strawberry Pickin' {May 2014}

A couple of weeks ago, the MOMS club that we belong to was going Strawberry Pickin'. We were SOO excited to go but about two hours before we were supposed to head out, Mason spiked a temp and we couldn't go.

Since we couldn't go that day, Matt and I decided to take Mason another afternoon. It was such a BLAST!

In the car beforehand. Mason seemed a little uncertain. :)

Love my guys!

First time berry pickin' as a family of three!

We had such a good time! We hope to go again soon! I've already been telling Mason about how much he will love apple pickin' in the fall.
