SUYL "Singles"

One of my favorite blogs to follow is "Kelly's Korner". Each week, she does a Show Us Your Life link up where she allows you to link up to her blog along with others to display or show various things. In the past has been Military moms, People without children, What you are Making/Selling etc. Every few months, she does a link up for "Show Us Your Life Singles" It's so inspiring and a blessing to so many people. Many people have met, been on dates, been engaged and some are even married now. It's just a great thing.

Well, I decided that I wanted to participate this time! I'm not single but I have plenty of wonderful friends and some of them are single. Today, I wanted to share about my friend, Brian.

Brian, a 30-something, male is a resident of Birmingham, Alabama. He is one of 3 brothers and an incredible guy who LOVES his family. I met Brian 3+ years ago at a Young Professionals Small Group with Church of the Highlands. We immediately became friends and despite 2 moves and a marriage for me and many life changes for him, we have remained close friends.

Brian works for a company called PrintsWell, Inc in Birmingham and is a jack of all trades there. Brian loves to decorate, remodel/renovate houses (others and his own). He sings incredibly (sang at my wedding) and sings each Sunday at Church of the Highlands. He is funny and knows how to have a good time.

Over the years, Brian and I have spent time praying for the Lord to send him an incredible wife to compliment him. I am anxious to see the Lord fulfill that. Because I know that Brian will make an awesome husband for some lady out there. Maybe it is one of you reading today. Feel free to contact me via this post or e-mail Brian directly @ Bponds@yahoo.com Can't wait to see what happens!

  3. Hello! Glad to see Alabama represented on SUYL! I'd love it if you had time to check out my blog www.hope-overflowing.blogspot.com and possibly pass my info to Brian. Here's a quick run down: I'm 30...from Huntsville...dedicated Christian...super close to my family and I love the little things in life. I've recently left the business world to go back to school full time at UNA to get an Interior Design degree. It's exciting to be following my dreams, but I'm eager to find someone to make some more dreams come true :)

Brian's blessed to have a friend like you!

  7. I can't believe I am doing this but here goes! LOL Im in my 40's, a child of God's, never been married and a mom to an incredible 3 year old daughter adopted from China. I live in Birmingham, AL, attend Highlands too (Riverchase), and work for a large law firm as their computer instructor. I appreciate your love for your friend to write about him. He sounds like a great guy. Any way, my blog address is tricia@tmifamily.com and I have not written there in a year but it is me and my journey to my daughter.

  18. Leslie --

I read Kelly's Korner as well and also am good friends with Lindsey Fisher (and realized your blog was linked to her blog). I have a good friend (Brooke) that I would love for Brian to meet. I am going to email him with her information -- she lives here in Birmingham.

  20. Hey! I am wondering how all of this has worked out for Brian!!! I, too, have been PRAYING for my longtime ADORABLE friend, Marni, to find a strong Christian man! I keep thinking that it's all in God's time and God is busy getting the perfect guy for her ready to meet her! So, I would love to know how Brian felt about all of this!

  21. hi! i'm visiting from Kelly's blog. she's getting ready to do another SUYL Singles link-up next Friday, so i was looking through some of the entries from her last one and found your blog. i'm considering writing a post about a friend of mine (late 20s) in south Alabama, and i was just curious if your friend Brian is still "on the market" or not. i know it's been several months since you posted about him, but he sounds like an amazing guy, so i figured it was worth checking on, in case my friend was interested in him. please update when you have a chance, if you don't mind. thanks so much! God bless! :)

  22. It's so funny seeing Emily's post because my friend was doing the same thing for me and told me to come check Brian out! I thought he looked familiar at first and then I read that he sings at Highlands and that's where I go but I go to the Riverchase campus. My friend told me we need to look at the small group directory again HAHA..

I'm curious if he is still single as well!!!!
