Home Remedies

MAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

    1. If you're choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself

    2. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop.

    3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. About lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.

    4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.

    5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

    6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you'll be afraid to cough.

    7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

    8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Brave Cowboy

Throughout the week, my mom will send me various forwards. I've been keeping these in my e-mail in a folder because most of them are funny and I want to look back at them when I need a laugh. However, having all of those e-mails is starting to bug me. I decided I'd post some of them as blog posts and just delete the rest. There may be many posts to come today that is just randomness and posted just for my benefit :)

Here's a brave cowboy...hahaha

A Quick Shout out

Last Month, Matt and I went into downtown Spartanburg and attended the Holiday Hoopla where lots of local artists from within a 1 hour radius had gathered to show off their goods. We saw so many things we loved and Matt ended up surprising me with some earrings from one of the people who was there. He ordered them on Etsy at her shop and he had to message her to ask for sterling silver hooks since my ears are sensitive. He told me that the whole process was done in 30 minutes including him messaging her requesting different backs, her responding to him with a new price and him completing the order. On top of that, she completed them and mailed them to him within 3 days. WOW!!! Just yesterday, I ordered another pair in black/grey because I'm so pleased with the ones Matt got me. Now I have two pair of earrings that I can wear on a daily basis that are super cute and don't make my ears itch! And in case you are wondering, I gave my mom all of my old earrings that bothered my ears! She was one happy Gal!

Check out OnceAgainSam on Etsy and order some earrings from her! Tell her we sent you. Nothing like supporting a local SC girl just trying to make her way :)

Here are the earrings...horrible picture quality, I know, but I was inspired to write a post so I just took a quick pic with photobooth!

Holly Jolly Christmas Swap! (and others)

I had the joy of participating in the Holly-Jolly Swap this year. It was a blast. My secret santa was Zoe from College Contemplations . She nailed me perfectly with the gifts she sent. I forgot to take pictures of each thing before I put one away and used part of the other one but here they are!

Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa mix. This is my absolute favorite holiday drink and NOW I have it in my house. I'm rationing it out so I can savor it as long as possible!

This book is the most precious book I've ever read. Please check it out if you have children or even just for yourself. LOVE IT!

Thanks Zoe!

Also, props to Lindsey who was one of my ornament swap partners. She sent me this amazing ornament from Nola Ornaments (etsy). It's so beautiful!

I got another super cute ornament from Chesterrific but I didn't take a picture and I can't find it online! BOO! It was fun and maybe one of our favorites now!

It was a fun time and I can't wait to do it next year!

Happy Anniversary to us! Happy New Year to YOU!

One Year of Kissing

Weird title, I know! But it is very true.

On this day last year, Matt and I were married at House on the Rock in Amite, Louisiana. After slightly under a year of courting/dating we tied the knot. It was a special time but boy am I glad we don't have to plan/have another wedding. It was work :) Just like marriage is. Imagine that...haha.

This day, January 1, 2012, marks one year of marriage. Wow.

Now about the title, If you know us then you know this story already but if you don't KNOW us then you might not. Either way, I'm sharing. When I was just a teenager, God burdened my heart about purity. He taught me a lot and somewhere along the path, he told me that I must wait until marriage to kiss any man. WHAT?!? That's what I was thinking anyway. Honestly, it was the best decision of my life. Knowing now that the ONLY man I have ever kissed and ever will kiss is Matthew Morgan. Well, that's a special feeling.

So, here's to one year of smooching and many more!

Here are a few pictures from our first year.
