Nashville Trip: Day 1 {October 2018}

Two weeks ago, we got to take a long-awaited trip to Nashville to visit family and it's time to recap it!! We left Wednesday morning, the 17th, and unexpectedly got to leave early and do something extra special:
 Apple picking!!

Ready to go!

Silliness is required when we travel...duh!

SkyTop!!!

There were much shenanigans while we waited a few minutes for orchard to open.

Here we go!

What a fun sight while we walked. It was late in the season for apple picking so we had quite the hike.

We were thrilled that they had pink lady apples ready to pick. That was a great surprise because they are our favorite.

There were some animals we could pet and feed after we finished picking.

Love this one...

After picking, it was apple cider donut time! and apple cider slush time, too!

It was super wet but we let the boys play a bit before we left. They were, of course, soaked.

He slid right into the water. Maddox went right after him, too!

Beautiful drive!

More goofiness in the car trying to keep Maddox awake until Knoxville for lunch.

We stopped for lunch at Chick-Fil-A then headed to McKay's books.

We found an unexpected treat before leaving town...DUCK DONUTS!! So delicious. We shared a maple bacon and a chocolate covered Oreo.

That made it a good time for nap. 😉

Again...beautiful!

After dinner, we made it to Nashville for a bit of cousin time before bed!
Look how great the picture turned out!

Pure silliness.

Once the littles were in bed, game time began.

It was a good start to our trip! More to come!
