July 4th, 2020

The 4th of July is usually a very low key day for us especially if it's during the week and Matt is working. Since it was on a Saturday this year, we had bit more time to spend together as a family.

Matt took Mason to the Farmer's Market and Maddox and I took the more relaxed approach to starting the day.

Matt and Mason had great success and among other things, they brought home blueberries!!

We set up on inflatable pool and enjoyed most of the morning outside.

We all rested at nap time and then we grilled and had an early outdoor dinner including one of my first attempts at deviled eggs. They were amazing!!

More pool time followed and by the end of the day we were all worn out and HAPPY!

July 4th, 2019

We don't typically have big plans on the 4th of July. If it's during the week, Matt works. It was during the week this year so the boys and I hung out in the morning together. They were surely looking patriotic!

We made a trip to Target because why not!?!

We browsed all of the aisles and then headed to Krispy Kreme to get some fireworks donuts. They were all sold out. 😑 The boys didn't care though because they still got to eat a donut. 😂

That afternoon, we went to Matt's grandparents for some fun and food. We ate hot dogs and all kinds of yummy sides.
Granddad was so excited that he'd found the cute little ice cream cups. The boys loved them and I think the rest of us did, too!

It was steamy outside but we dealt with the sweat and watched the boys play some.

yep, HOT!

All of us together!

It was a fun day!
