31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 11

Dear Matt,

I love that you are such a hard worker.

I love that you are willing to work a job that you don't "love" because God called you to this season and you do it in order to provide for us.

I love that you work hard and try to achieve your career dreams.

I love that I get to run beside you in this life.

You are my hero.

You are incredible.

Love,

Les

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 10

Dear Matt,

You are the best "boyfriend" ever. Seriously, it's days like today that I am so grateful that you are the only man I've ever dated. I love that you are all I've known. I love that after 2 years and 9 months of being together that we still enjoy dating each other. I am glad that we have chosen to make "rocks" in our life before we have children or before our lives change from this current season. I love that we enjoy being together. I love that we love laughing together. I love that you are my best friend.

I'm going to keep you! ;-)

Your bride

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 9

Dear Matt the Handyman,

I just needed to write today to tell you that one of the most awesome things about you is that you do almost everything, seriously probably everything but I don't want people to think you are perfect (:)), without complaining.
We moved everything we own to a new place in 8 days and on the 8th day you hung all of our pictures on the wall because that's what I wanted to do.
You are incredible.
And, I must admit, pretty good with a level too.

Love you,

Your anal wife :)

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 6

Dear Matt,

Today I'm grateful for new experiences with you. It's so awesome to do something together and form new memories.
As of today, we officially live in a house. It's the perfect little rental house for us. Like you prayed at dinner tonight "Lord, give us provision in this house". I am happy for this new thing. Lets enjoy this next step, baby.

Love,
Me

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 5

Dear Matt,

Thank you for dreaming big with me. It is nice to be grounded and solid in our plans for the "now". It is also incredible to dream and plan for the future.

Children...
Jobs...
Financial situation...
Housing...
Friends...
Photography...
Gardening...

In the BIG and small things, it is fun to dream and best of all, it is fun to dream with you.

I love you,

Leslie

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 3

Dear Handsome Hubby,

When we purchased your truck two months ago and my dad said "A man needs a truck at some time in his life", I just wasn't so sure. But seeing you drive that white Chevy S-10 and how happy you are to own a truck is so cute!

We took it to another level last night when we purchased tie-downs to move furniture. You were ecstatic.

I think it's crazy! BUT I am so glad that you are handy-man and take care of things when they need to be taken care of.

I'll keep you.

Love,

Your Bride

31 Days: Letters to Matt, Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of 31 days of Letters to my husband. I am glad you are here to read! I'm linking up with The Nester .

Let me just say that when you decide to write letters to your husband to bless him, the devil DOES NOT LIKE IT! He is all up in our business today. BUT I'm not scared. I will keep on. Devil, you can't touch our marriage because God is in control.

Dear Matt,

Thank you for being so gentle with me. I am NOT usually gentle with you but you are always with me. Thank you for being tender when you need to be tender and tough when you need to be tough. Although, let's be honest...I hate the tough part.

Thank you for being willing to fight with me to get through the hard things in life. Thank you for being awesome.

I love you,
Les

P.S. To all of you single ladies, consider using this time to write letters to your future husband. I did that before I even knew Matt and also when I knew him before we were married. It was a HUGE blessing for me and a huge blessing to him when I gave him the letters on our wedding day!
