FLYERS!!! WHAT WHAT! :) |
Matt's parents recently made a trip to PA for a family funeral and they called us from the airport to get our shirt sizes and asked us to choose between Flyers and Phillies. I'm definitely not a Phillies fan (Go Braves) but since we are going to a Flyers game in April, Flyers shirts were much appreciated. Needless to say, Husband was thrilled when a package came in the mail with this inside. :)
So, I guess....GO FLYERS! :)

Fried Rice--Matt's Specialty |
Please pardon the poor quality photograph, just wanted to give a small peek into this yumminess.
Here's the recipe:
-1 cup of white or brown rice, cooked as directions state, should yield 2 cups
-2 cups of peas, carrots and onions that have been sauteed and warmed together.
-3 eggs
-Soy sauce and/or Teriyaki sauce
-meat of your choice. We have made this using chicken, shrimp, sausage and most recently Tofu
Cook rice. Saute/heat all veggies together. Remove from pan and add coconut oil and heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and scramble quickly. Add all ingredients back together into the same skillet. Mix well and add sauces as desired and then eat!

Sweet Tea---Matt's Favorite |
ALERT ALERT ALERT! No pictures in this post :)
I just wanted to share my "recipe" for Sweet Tea. One of my goals on our 101 in 1001 list was "Make the Best Sweet Tea Matt has ever Tasted" and I finally did it.
Here's how I do it.
-Boil water in a tea kettle.
-Get tea bags ready and put them into the pitcher. I always add 10 tea bags.
-Pour water over the tea bags and let steep for up to 10 minutes.
-Remove tea bags and add 1 3/4 cups of sugar.
-Stir well.
-Top off pitcher with water and chill until cold!
PERFECT for dinner!
Enjoy!

King Cake...A Louisiana Girl's dream come true |
Each year since I moved from Louisiana either my mom or my dad has sent us a Kingcake via FedEx. This year was no different and we were so excited for it to arrive! Here is it all prepared and ready to eat!
We shared with Grandmom and Granddad just one day before they began a fast so it was their last dessert for a while! ;-)
When you can't be in Louisiana, at least Louisiana can come to you!

Schick HydroSilk Bzz Agent Review |
I recently teamed up with Bzz Agent to review several items. The first one I'm reviewing is the Schick HydroSilk Razor.
Let me just say that I have always been one to purchase whatever razor is on sale. I enjoy a razor that is sturdy and lasts long but other than that, I'm not too particular.
This razor arrived in the mail and I was so excited to try it that I ran a tub full of water, took the razor from the package, grabbed my new Skintimate shaving lotion and got to work! :)
Here's what Schick and Bzz Agent say about this Razor:
--Each Cartridge is filled with Water Activated Moisturizing Serum that's infused with marine extracts and shea butter and hydrates long than any other razor.
--5 Curve-Sensing blades move independently from each other and deliver an incredibly smooth, efficient shave and blade guards help protect skin from irritation.
+more.
I loved this razor for many, many reasons!
--The grip is good and therefore, it was easy to hold and handle.
--The lotion strips on the razor really help to make your legs feel soft after the shave.
--The blades grab and cut hair quickly with no necessity to go back over legs again to get a close shave.
--I used this with a lotion shaving cream which worked great with the razor.
--My husband was glad my legs were super smooth ;-)
I will definitely purchase this razor in the future and I hope you will too!!
**I received this razor from Bzz Agent. All opinions are my own.**
