Scripture Memory

This year, I decided to join up with the Siestas of Living Proof Live Blog and memorize scripture. So far, I've memorized 4 and it is so energizing!

If you want to join in and have some accountability for it, check out their blog. You pick a new scripture on the 1st and 15th of each month.

I have put it on the home screen of my cell phone to help me see it often and learn more easily.

I've learned:

Zephaniah 3:17: The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Psalm 20:4: May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Psalm 66:20: Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

What we've been up to...

I realized that I've been posting a lot of fluff posts mostly just for posterity's sake to have fun memories of all of the little things that we do and that I haven't really been posting what we have been up to! I think I'll bullet point those things. :)

--planning a trip to PA for Matt's family reunion

--planning a weekend trip to TN to meet our new niece who will be here in March

--planning a trip to LA for my best friend's wedding

--planning a trip...JK...I think that's all for now!

--visiting a new church and attending a new small group

--spending time with the grandparents whenever we can

--trying to get back into the swing of cooking since I've been slack lately

--working on Matt's birthday present; I won't say much except it's a form of an altered book. I'll share when I finish.

--getting back into couponing and trying to save a little bit of extra money that way. 

--watching the series "Felicity" on Netflix

--working on advertising, blog and associated things for the photography business

--playing a new game he purchase (in the little bit of spare time)

--planning our flower box and herb "garden" which we hope to work on soon

How we roll...

Last week, we had a date night and we ended up at Cook-Out. They have the best milkshakes and the burgers are pretty yummy too!!!

Popcorn Indiana---A New Obsession

About two months ago, a blogger wrote a post about this product and it sent me on a hunt all over town for it! We went to 7 different stores, all of which carried Popcorn Indiana products but just not this particular kind. Megan @ In This Wonderful Life was sweet enough to send me some to try and we loved it. Since then, I've kept my eye out for some. Just last week, I was in Wal-Mart and they had it for sale for $2.58 and I had $1.00 off coupons. I was thrilled to get it and we have been enjoying it. If you see it in your local store...GET IT!!!
