Momma & Mason Dates

Mason and I have had quite a few fun dates lately. Now, honestly, we spend 90% of our time together but sometimes, we make those times extra special and make them dates!

We took a morning trip to Target and I couldn't get a picture with this guy for the life of me!

This was also 1/2 day at DQ so we ate lunch there! Mason had a chicken tender, a banana and some milk.

I had a mushroom swiss burger.

Mason ate a little bit of ice cream, too!

One morning last week, I stopped by our local bakery with Mason and I was going to get him a treat and we would eat at the bakery but it was crowded so we got our treat and came home. Cookie and milk date at home.

Cute little date. :)

One other day, we ran into Barnes and Noble to play with the train table. It was fun and exhausting...haha!

I love dates with my best boy.

Mason's 1st Bubble Bath

We recently went to the grand opening of a local Dollar General and Matt and I each got $10 gift cards along with a $5 off a $25 purchase coupon so that meant we could get $25 worth of items for free!!! We got some grocery necessities but also got a few fun things including bubble bath for Mason!

Mr. Bubble is still just as fun as it used to be when I was a kid. Mase LOVED it!

Here's to many more bubble baths for this bath loving boy!

King Cakes {2015}

Each year, Mom sends us a King Cake for Mardi Gras. This year, Mason and I will be there the day after Mardi Gras so I didn't think she would send one but she surprised us with one!

The king cake comes in a box with beads, doubloons, and a Mardi Gras sign.

This was Mason's first King Cake so we showed him the ropes.

He learned quickly. :)

As you can see, all of the sugar is yellow when it's supposed to be green, purple and yellow. The cake was missing one sugar, one spilled all over the box when it was being shipped so we only had one left. These cakes are not cheap to purchase and have them shipped overnight. Needless to say, we were still excited but also disappointed. Mom and I both e-mailed the bakery and just let them know. And, they ended up sending us a whole new cake!!
We certainly were excited about that!! And to our surprise, it was filled with cream cheese which is my favorite!! :))

Yay for KING CAKE!!!! Thanks, GiGi for always spoiling us with it each year!
