Fun with Skylar {June 2015}

For the last month, we haven't seen much of our favorite friends. They welcomed a new baby into their family and we had plans for lots of visits but Mason was dealing with allergy stuff and we weren't sure if it was contagious at one point so we stayed away.

But we remedied that with storytime together, lunch together and then pool time!

Dancing together at Rockin' Babies Storytime

The sweetest!

Pool time! (I forgot Mason's hat so we borrowed Skylar's hot pink one!)

We love our friends!

Mason's 1st Movie {June 2015}

One of our local theaters does $1 movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the summer so we took Mason for his first movie. He was all dressed up and ready to go! (And completely disinterested in taking a picture!)

Ready to go into the movie! Posing with Daddy!

We were early so Mason and Daddy rode the Fast & Furious Car.

Ready to go!!1 We ate so much popcorn!

Oh my word! He made it through the entire movie!!!! Matt and I were shocked. We expected 30 minutes at most.

Also, we should have taken a family picture beforehand. Haha!

The movie wore that boy out! He fell asleep in the 5 minutes between the movie and home.

It was a sweet family time together!

Reservations for Two by Hillary Manton Lodge {A Book Review}

Reservations for Two by Hillary Manton Lodge has been a long awaited book for me. I read the first book in the series last year and have been anxious for the sequel ever since. And now that I finished reading this book in 3 days, I've got to wait another year to read the next book! AH!

Reservations for Two begins with Juliette out of the country in Provence exploring and learning about her family and trying to connect the dots about her grandmother's love life of many, many years before. She has some time during her travels to be with her boyfriend, Neil, and their romantic relationship grows.

Once Juliette is back in Portland, she hits the ground running trying to figure out relationships with her family and with Neil, begin a restaurant and take care of her family as well as continue to explore the details about her grandmother's story from so long ago.

I don't want to give away any more of the storyline but I do want to close with just saying that Hillary is a great writer. The story was so well written; the recipes shared are so detailed you can almost taste them as you read them. I cannot wait to read more from Hillary Manton Lodge!

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

Videos {May 2015}

I love the fact that iPhones have video capability. I have so many videos that I cherish! Here's what happened this month!

Mason has been loving being outside. He loves his water table and pool. He also loves pouring ice cold water on his momma! As evidenced here! :)

My mom gave Mason this stuffed animal for Valentine's Day and he's just recently started to love it. As soon as the music comes on, he's dancing!

Dancin' it out!!

Fun with Daddy!

Swim Lessons; he's fussing a little bit but he enjoys the water 99% of the time.

Tickle Time! And he is signing and saying "more" not "no".

"What Does the Dog Say?"

The First Frosty parts 1 & 2

Reading "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with Daddy

Mason loves this one picture of us that I keep on the dividing wall between the living room and dining room. He was asking for it one day and I couldn't get there quickly enough so he scooted the ottoman over and got it himself. I missed getting that on video but after he was finished with the picture, he attempted to put it back. That I caught on video.

The Latest Haircut --SUCCESS!

Y'all, we have had some rough haircuts for Mason. They have been full of tears and just HARD. And Matt and I have no idea why. Because of that, I have been very reluctant to getting him another appointment. But as you can see in the pictures below, it was necessary.

I loaded him up in the car and let him take George with him. This was a big deal because George is his stuffed animal (along with two others) that he only gets to have in his crib. So, to take him out in the car was special.

And, he did awesome!!!!! He didn't fuss one second and he got the cutest haircut!

Before and After:

Yay for a successful haircut. Hoping it stays this way from here on out!
