31 Weeks {Baby MMM2 Update}

31 weeks! We are definitely in the home stretch with MMM2!

Let's see what's been going on around here:

--I purchased a little three drawer tower for our room to hold diapers, wipes, onesies, etc. while Little Bit is sharing our room with us. I think that's going to work well.

--We had an appointment this past Monday and all is good. I'm measuring 32 weeks so right on target there. Heartrate was good at 143. If we are basing gender on heartrate, we'd be all confused because this little one's heartrate has been everywhere! :)

--I am doing well overall with weight gain for this pregnancy. I don't really keep up with it or make an issue out of it. However, at this appointment, I had not gained any weight in 3 weeks. That was a good feeling especially since baby is still growing and healthy in there. :)

--Mason is warming up to the idea of a baby more and more. We are talking about Baby more in conversation and just making it a part of daily life. I know it'll be an adjustment no matter what but I'm just glad he's good with it so far!

--We got out lots of baby toys and such so that Mason could get used to them being out. Once Matt's parents visit and leave, we will pull out some of the bigger items so that they can be touched and played with etc. We've got a playmat, rock and play, and bouncer seat. We will also be putting the car seat in the car soon. :)

--I've been making my list for the hospital and again, once Matt's parents visit is past, I'll pull out the suitcase and start packing things.

--I'm also working on a list of items to include in "thank you" baskets for the nurses and doctors. I did that with Mason and I loved it so we will be doing that again this time around.

--Baby has been moving a good bit lately. I think he/she is a bit of stinker like Mason was and only wants to move when ready. I can't coerce much. haha!

--All else is well. We will start 2 week appointments now and we will just go from there!

See you soon, Little Bit!!

Baby Morgan #2 Update {28 Weeks}

 Oh my golly, 28 weeks!!!!
 Time is FLYING!
This picture was taken at 28 weeks exactly and my appointment was at 28 weeks, 1 day. :)

Have a listen to sweet baby's heartbeat....152 bpm.

Here's what's going on with Baby MMM2!

--We officially set a birth date for Baby. Unless baby decides to come earlier, which is certainly possible, we have scheduled our c-section date. We will only be telling this date to a few people so that baby's arrival will be a surprise to most. :)

--Mason has decided that we will be naming the baby "Mac" or "MacMac" so there you have it. No matter the gender, it appears that this will at the very least be baby's nickname. So cute.

--There is LOTS of movement going on in this here tummy. Baby is kicking and rolling and Kung Fu-ing tons. This especially happens first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

--I have purchased a coming home outfit for a boy and a friend is going to let me look at some newborn girl outfits so I should have a girl option soon. Exciting!

--Matt is feeling the baby move more and more and that's always fun.

--I am hoping Mason will be able to feel the baby, too, but I'm not sure he will understand it even if he does. We shall see.

--My mom will be coming to stay with us for a few weeks to help with Mason and the baby. We are so grateful for that, for sure! I told her that Mason will either be attached to her because I have the baby or he will want me and she will get lots of baby time. She said it's a win-win for her so she doesn't care. :)

--I've continued to write letters to Baby MMM2 although not as many as I'd like. I've started filling in some of the early baby book info, too.

--All is well in Morgan land. Nothing else new to report. We just look forward to baby's arrival sometime between now and June 12th. :)

Baby Morgan Update {24 Weeks}

24 weeks!!! AH!!

Let's see what's been going on during pregnancy. :)

--We put up the crib for Baby Morgan. Mason may transition out of his crib by the time baby comes but he likes it in there and we are not in any hurry. We purchased another crib on the cheap for baby #2 and it is in our room. The plan is to keep baby in our room until he/she is sleeping through the night and then we will put both kiddos in the same room. :)

--There has been lots of kicking, rolling, playing in my tummy. Baby #2 is active and I love it!

--Matt was able to feel Baby kick on February 14th.

--Official due date is June 12th.

--I have a new diaper bag thanks to GiGi and I think it will serve our needs perfectly. Hopefully I can sell the first one or at least find it a good home.

--My reflux has been better. I have missed a few days of taking Zantac and I've been good still. I also purchased 75 mg instead of 150mg so that's been good, too.

--Following his love for cars, when asked, Mason said he wanted to name the baby, "MAAACCCCC" :)

--I failed my 1 hour glucose test and I will be taking the 3 hour glucose test on Tuesday.

--Heartrate was 162bpm and all is well with sweet baby Morgan.

--We were reading a book just the other night and I mentioned that one of the characters was the big brother. Mason pointed to himself and said "me big". He is starting to get it. I love it!

--I planned on taking a bump picture but after failing the ole glucose test, it wasn't happening. Soon...maybe.

20 Weeks {An Update on MMM2}

Last week, we had our anatomy scan which means I'm over half way through this pregnancy. As of this post, I'm nearly 22 weeks!!

Baby's heart rate was 169. Such a sweet sweet sound...

All looked well and baby is measuring right on target.

We did not find out the gender but we did as we did with our pregnancy with Mason, we had it written down and will send it to a friend who will make a few embroidered items for us to have and open at the hospital. Such a fun thing for us.

Mason came with us to the appointment and he brought his doctor's kit in case he needed to help out! Love that guy!

They prescribed me an antibiotic to see if I could knock out this cold that has been lingering. I think it helped.

The reflux is better and I'm taking Zantac as needed right now. I want to use more natural methods but I've got to get it under control first. I am tired of coughing so much from refluxing that I throw up. I hope to try the apple cider vinegar soon. Fingers crossed. :)

Everything else is good with baby. I've started to feel some slight movement so that's exciting!!

All Things Baby {A Pregnancy Update}

I'm just past 19 weeks now so I figured it was time for an update! My brain is FULL these days so I think I'll stick with bullet points for now. :)

--I'm due in early June. I have been given two dates. I have an anatomy scan in a week so we will see what date we are given then and go from there.

--I have felt great. In my first trimester, I had a period of about 2 weeks where my stomach was just a bit sensitive to certain things but, thankfully, that passed quickly and I've felt good overall--at least pregnancy related.

--I had a cold for over 4 weeks and that was quite "un-fun". Thankfully, I'm mostly past that! The cough won't go away but I'm managing!

--Mason is aware that a baby is in my belly. He will point occasionally and say "baby". He will give a kiss every now and then, too. Right after my appointment on December 28th, he got his toy stethoscope and put it on my stomach and checked the baby's heartbeat saying "boom boom boom boom."

--Matt and I had already decided on our girl name, Madeline, but we had three boy names that we were going between. We have decided that our boy name is Maddox and we LOVE it so much!

--I am at the weird stage between my regular parents and my maternity pants and that's so awkward. I'm just glad I have pants to wear. HAHA!

--We are talking about some adventures we want to take as a family before baby comes and so far, we have decided to take a day trip to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. We hope to come up with a few other adventures, too.

--Matt's brother got engaged a couple of weeks ago and he and his fiance', Anne, will be getting married later in the year. That means we will be taking a tiny little one with us on a wedding adventure! SO exciting and I'm sure slightly chaotic and crazy! HA!

--I can't wait to see how baby is measuring and weighing at the anatomy scan. We are praying that all is well, obviously!

--As I did with Mason, I have been writing letters to Baby every now and then. When I write one for Baby, I try to write one for Mason, too. They aren't anything complex but they are fun and sweet.

Stay tuned! Soon we will start taking some baby bump pictures and hopefully, the updates will get more exciting!
