The Morgan's Movements {Early May 2016}

The weather is warming up around here and we are getting ready for SUMMER! Ours will hopefully be a good mix of low key time at home as a family of four and good fun! Here's what's been going on so far this month.

Mason is VERY into learning letters and numbers right now so playing with his foam letters in the bathtub is just a logical step in that process. :)

As always, the love for all things vehicle continues. Mason practiced riding his tractor off road...on my leg. :)

Looking like a big boy!

Matt and Mason went to peruse Target one afternoon and Mason helped carry the juice. Such a big helper!!

Don't worry, fun was involved, too!

One evening while I was fixing dinner, Mason was playing quietly in the living room. I went in to find everything upside down. Tractors, chairs, etc. ;)

Sweet boys looking at the clouds. This particular afternoon was the one when I pulled a muscle in my back and Matt took the role of SUPER dad!

Thank you, Mason, for hanging low with me while my back rested. You were a sweet snuggler and I loved it so!

Baby better get reader to share the bounce seat with some vehicles. haha!

Just a little light reading. I know I say it often but I just love how much this guy loves his books!

One morning was a bit chilly and we headed to the park. We had it all to ourselves and the weather was great. Mason chased squirrels and birds for an hour.

On that same day, poor Dad spilled some paint all. over. his. shoe...no fun!

We ran into Old Navy so I could get a cheap pair of flip flops for the hospital. I looked over and Mason had quickly removed his shoes and tried on a pair, too!

So much fun!

Saturday morning, I headed to work and Matt and Mason headed to the Farmer's Market. I LOVE this picture of them together. :)

As we typically try to do, they headed to Kid's workshop, too.

That same day, we had our house deep cleaned. We never had it done or did it ourselves before we moved it and as much as I enjoyed a neat house, I am not a fan of dusting, etc. So as an early birthday/baby is coming present, Matt had the house cleaned. I was quite happy!!

Saturday night, we were still full from an early Mother's Day lunch so we made yummy smoothies and watched a few of our shoes. They hit the spot!

I talked about Mother's Day yesterday so we will skip right past that.
Monday morning, we were up and moving for my 35 week OB appointment. Mason was ready to go and was waving at squirrels playing in the yard.

I got him to pose a little bit for me.

Our appointment went well. I had to head to the dentist and Matt and Mason had other plans so we grabbed a quick family photo before parting ways. :)

I was once a every-6-months-cleaning girl but after Mason came that just went out the window! It was good to be back in that routine.

Meanwhile, Matt and Mason enjoyed breakfast with Granddad, Grandmom, Uncle Ben and soon-to-be-Aunt Anne.

Mason is VERY into imaginative play with his toys right now. Here are some of his animal friends watching a show with him. :)

I got a haircut on Tuesday morning...first time in a YEAR! And sweet Kris came to play with Mason. Pretty sure he thinks she's the coolest ever because they made a ramp for his cars!!

That evening, we played outside some and then I headed to work. Matt and Mason made waffles. Always a fan favorite around here!

Lots of good stuff happened around early May. Mid-may brings some chill time, an early celebration of Father's Day and just awaiting baby!

Mother's Day 2016

What a fun day Mother's Day was around our house!!
The day before, we headed to the grocery store and I saw some discounted muffins on the bakery rack. I was going to pick those for Sunday morning breakfast BUT Mason saw a carrot cake and insisted we get that. I certainly wasn't complaining. Sunday morning came around and I got to have carrot cake and milk in bed. Good start to the day.

We all got ready for church and we had a few minutes so we headed outside for a few pictures. As expected, they were hilarious. I was happy because we were all present in them and that's all that matters. :)

The Morgan 3, soon to be 4 :)

A 35 week baby bump!!

And a helper :)

At church, they had a wall where you could give your moms some love so Matt and I did just that. :)

And after church, we got a few pictures with the photo booth.

We picked up quick hibachi takeout and enjoyed it at home. I ran out for a quick errand and while I was gone, my guys made me some cards. The. Best.

All of us took naps and after nap, Mason and Matt got geared up for some water play!

Showing me his muscles!

We filled up our little pool and the water/sand table and Mason enjoyed it for an hour or so. I was outside most of the time, too. Matt and I just sat in the shade and enjoyed. :)

For dinner, I asked Matt to make a stuffed French toast recipe that I had seen in the Food Network magazine and he delivered!!!
This stuff was incredible!!

After dinner, we just hung out and relaxed and we were all in bed early. It was a great day! (Nevermind the toddler tantrums...that's just regular ole life.:))

Mason Says...{2}

Oh goodness, the things Mason is starting to say! I figured I'd keep on sharing them!

The other day, we headed to post office which is not my favorite task on most days. We got there right as they opened and we were the first people in line. The clerk was very efficient but unfortunately, her printing machine jammed. It took her a few minutes to get it fixed and Mason got a little anxious. She said, "I know buddy. I'm taking too long aren't I?" and Mason said "Uh Huh!"

HAHA!!

One morning last week, we heard a plane outside. Mason looked for a while to see if he could see it. When he didn't ever see it, he said "Pane, where yare you?" Haha! He even cupped his hands over his mouth as he called for it. :)

Mason's new favorite phrase: "Oh man!"

Our house faces a busy road and we spend many hours each week looking outside. It's an exciting thing, I assure you. For the last several weeks, there has been a younger black gentleman that walks by nearly every day, dressed in his Zaxby's uniform, heading to work just down the road. Last week, Mason saw him and yelled "DAD!!!!" I could not help but laugh. This guy doesn't look anything like his Dad so I said, "No, he's way taller than dad!" ;-) He's a funny kid.

A couple of weeks back, we went to music group with MOMS Club. On this particular day, we played with our drums. After we left, I told Mason "You did so well playing your drum, Bud." He said "Tank dou, Mom!" It was such a fun moment because he's starting to saying please and thank you without prompting. He actually understands what those phases are for. I love it!

35 Weeks: MMM2 {Update}

34 Weeks

35 Weeks

We are getting closer and closer to Little Bit's arrival! Let's see what's been going on around here. :)

--I pulled a muscle in my back on May 3rd. That was literally debilitating for about a day and a half. Thankfully, some rest, a heating pad and good care from my boys made it all better.

--We got to go to the zoo with some of our buds. That was a BLAST but I'm glad we went when we did. I'm getting more tired as time goes on. haha!

--Mason had the hiccups all of the time while in my belly but this baby just got them (that I could feel) for the first time last week and that was fun. He/she has had them a few times since then.

--We had a check up yesterday (5/9) and all is well. Heartrate was 150 and I'm doing good. I had my strep B swab and we will get those results at the next appointment.

--I start going weekly to the OB now until baby comes.

--Mason had continued to get sweeter about baby. I still think it's going to be a huge transition but he's happy when we talk about baby so that's good.

--Matt and I each go back and forth daily as to whether we think baby is a boy or a girl. With Mason, I just KNEW he was a boy at this point but I'm just not sure these days. We are happy either way, we are just ready to meet our little one. :)

--I think that's about it. All is good and now, we just count down the days and weeks.

BatDad: A Parody by Blake Wilson

I'm sure many of you have seen the posts on Facebook as well as other social media channels for BatDad. I know I have seen plenty. When I saw that there was a book by BatDad, I wanted to check it out.

First off, I was surprised at the size of the book. I didn't expect it to be textbook size but I was surprised at the measly 64 pages that the page had between its covers.

When the book arrived, Mason and I sat down right away to flip through it. I thought the pictures in the book along with the graphics on each page were fun, vibrant and cool. (Some of the pictures were lower quality than others but that didn't really bother me much.)

I didn't enjoy the few curse words in the book because, obviously, that means that I can't read the whole book aloud to Mason. That being said, I don't believe it is geared toward children so, in the scheme of things, that's not really that big of a deal.

I think this book would be a fun coffee table book or gift book for Dads for Father's Day but I was a bit disappointed at the price. It seemed to be overpriced to me. That being said, it is a hardcover book and all of the pages are brightly color printed so I guess it isn't that surprising that it is price as it is priced.

Overall, this is a fun book but I think if I were buying, I'd skip the book and just follow on social media for my daily entertainment.

**I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review and opinion.**
