*I received this book from Litfuse in exchange for my review and participation in the blog tour.
I am a part of a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group and some of the steering team from our group was able to see an early screening of this movie. They all raved about it and said it was awesome! After hearing them talk, I knew I wanted to see the movie. Not long after that, I got the e-mail from Litfuse about the blog tour for this book based on the movie, Mom's Night Out. I was so excited because I much prefer to read a book before seeing a movie than seeing the movie before reading the book.
Personal preference. I got the book at the beginning of a week and was unable to start until Wednesday evening of that same week. I sat down and read for an hour and read 1/2 of the book. The next morning I got up early to finish it. It had me laughing so much. There were also a few parts of "Awww" sad moments. The book was good for my soul. I must admit, it was a little over the top at times but that's part of what made it so funny to me. I loved the intertwining of so many mom perspectives throughout the book.
I also received the devotional to go along with the book. I haven't read the whole book because that's not how devotionals are supposed to be read, all in one sitting. I have, however, read one devotional for each day since receiving the book and I love it. It's down to earth, realistic, and inspiring. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of them in the days to come.
Here's the trailer on YouTube as well...
Litfuse provides this information about the book. Check out the awesome challenge, too!

Moms' Night Out and Other Things I Miss: Devotions To Help You Survive.
Tricia and Kerri have teamed up for the "No More Frumpy Mommy" challenge.
Motherhood can sometimes seem like survival of the fittest. Every day brings its own troubles, and by the end of the day, you’re spent. Between school, soccer practice, cleaning, laundry, cooking dinner, putting away dishes, and keeping your kids from going at each others’ throats, the last thing on your mind is getting away for an evening. If that’s you, you’re invited to take part in Tricia and Kerri's No More Frumpy Mommy challenge.
Tricia and Kerri will choose 10 winners to receive a Fandango gift card to see Moms' Night Out, as well as copies of Moms' Night Out (the book) and Moms' Night Out and Other Things I Miss. One grand-prize winner will receive $200 to put toward her own moms' night out or her own moms' night out "ride" (getting her car detailed and cleaned).
