We drove straight on through to Montgomery. The traffic was light and the boys watched a movie for much of the drive just because it was a good idea. 😊
We got there before lunch and nap and I was glad for that. This guy slept and so did I! Mason played with the micro machines and read.
We took a walk that afternoon. The weather was pretty.
When PopPop got home, the boys finally got to see the trains. A highlight of a Christmas season visit.
PopPop and Grammy got new additions to their car track and that kept the boys busy most of the trip!
Ealy morning smiles to send to Daddy since he wasn't there yet.
We went to Target that morning and Mason needed a break. 😂
We picked up donuts after that...yum!
PopPop and Grammy have some vintage games so we played one based on grocery shopping. It was fun but can be lengthy if people don't get what they need so Maddox didn't last the whole time.
This guy loves the switch so he was happy to have some video game time.
We played and did puzzles and such.
Some relaxation was involved, too, of course.
And what's a visit without Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
That's Matt heading our wayyyyy!
Maddox napped in the room with me most days and I loved snapping these pictures.
Another day, another walk.
HE IS HERE!!!
And look who else is here!!! Maddox made Aunt Anne and bracelet. ❤️
Matt said traffic was light in Atlanta so he stopped for our favorite donuts. ❤️❤️❤️
These guys went to see the new Star Wars movie when the boys went to bed. They said it was a great time! The ladies stayed behind, ate snacks and watched Jeopardy while we chatted.
Early (way early) morning chill time.
Video games with Dad were a highlight of this visit.
A bit more outside time that included some silliness...
Uncle Ben jumped in on the game time.
Oh gah....
We opened Christmas presents on our visit, too. What a fun thing to extend Christmas gifts and celebrations for 2 weeks!
We received some games from the Canters, some magnet blocks from Ben and Anne and some movie money from PopPop and Grammy (with a few other small things thrown in, too.)
The next day was our last day. Maddox started with a cough while we were there and it progressed big time over night. We weren't sure what it was but it was loud and often so on our last day, I opted for a bedroom picnic with him instead of having him cough all over the dining room table while everyone ate. It was a bit stressful but fun, too.
Headed home!
Turns out this is likely our last travel for a while given the current coronavirus situation!
