Where Courage Calls is an incredible book. This book follows a young girl, Beth, in her adventure of becoming a teacher in a small coal mining town. She was raised in an affluent family in Eastern Canada and she moves to Western Canada to teach. She enters into a whole new lifestyle that she never expected. The book follows along during her year of teaching showing her impact on the lives of the townspeople especially the children. It also shows how much the people of the small town, Coal Valley, have an impact on her life.
This book is well written and easy to read. The best part to me is that it includes a bit of romance but it doesn't overtake the book. I loved every bit of this book!
