Matt and the Pasta Extruder

Matt's been wanting a pasta extruder/maker for a long time. We hoped to save money for one to attach to our Kitchen Aid mixer but they are quite pricey and this just didn't seem feasible. Since Matt's birthday was approaching when we were discussing, I mentioned to Matt's parents that he wanted one. They thought it was a great idea and they delivered! 

Matt's parents purchased him a pasta maker/extruder, ravioli presses and a pasta stand! He was in hog heaven! 

On April 4th, he pulled this sucker out of the box, prepped it and made us some homemade linguini! 

Y'all! It was sooo delicious. After eating this and Matt talking about how easy it was to make, I'm not sure I ever want to eat boxed pasta again! To go with the pasta, Matt made a semi-homemade pasta sauce. He used a can of plain tomato sauce, added basil, garlic, ground sauteed sausage and some heavy cream. Oh my word!
