With Love, From Me to You was the perfect book to arrive before Valentine's Day as we increase our chatter about love of various kinds. We don't make a big deal out of the romantic notions behind Valentine's Day really but we do discuss loving others in a big way. Valentine's Day may be a commercial holiday in many ways but we definitely don't let that stop us from using it to teach our children about love and caring for others.
With Love, From Me to You is an excellent book to help us show our kids what loving others means. The book is rhyming so it's easy to read and catchy for nearly any age while also showing some specific ways that we can love others.
The mention of God's love living in us so we can share it with others was also a great addition to the book and a way to open the door to discuss that specific topic more. The illustrations are mostly animals and for whatever reason, my kids gravitate toward that in books so this was a big win for parents and kids!
