The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck by Bethany Turner was one of those books that took me a second to get into and then I couldn't put it down!
Sarah Hollenbeck is a recently divorced woman who decides to write books using a pen name. The books she writes are hot, steamy and pretty risqué. Somewhere along the line after the books are written, she comes to know the Lord and realizes she is going to have a hard time reconciling her current life and her "secret life".
There are several twists along the way during this story and just when you thought you wouldn't cringe again, you did. That being said, I loved that this wasn't the typical Christian fiction book. The point came across that we all have a past including Sarah Hollenbeck, and something that maybe others don't know about us.
As the story develops more, you truly start to love the characters and the story of redemption despite the pasts of those characters really shines. This story was a fun read and gave some moments of reflection as well.
**I received this book from Revell Books.**
