Treat Yourself {A Book Review}

I recently received this amazing cookbook, Treat Yourself, by Jennifer Steinhauer. Actually, I think I may call it a baking-book instead. When I saw this book up for review, I knew I had to check it out. Jennifer presents some copy-cat recipes for 70 classic snacks that are for some of my favorite foods as a child. Some of the amazing recipes include Nutter Butters, Honeybuns, Pecan rolls, Oreos, Tagalongs and many, many, more.

In the first chapter, Jennifer shares some important tools that you may need to make the recipes throughout the book. Then before each recipe, she writes a brief story relating to her and/or to the food item itself.

The recipes are well written and easy to understand. I haven't tried any yet but with Father's Day coming up this weekend, I plan to make Pecan Rolls and maybe even Nutter Butters. We also have several occasions coming up this summer where these recipes will be a great addition.

I am in love with this book. The pictures are great. The stories are fun. And for real, who doesn't want to know how to bake some of their favorite items.

I would definitely recommend this book anyone, anytime, for any occasion. :)

Check out the author (Twitter of Author), Read Chapter 1, and see her Author Bio here.

**I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
