Jilted {A Book Review}

Before sweet MMM2 arrived, I got the opportunity to read the Mended Hearts series by Varina Denman including Justified, Jaded and the newest book, Jilted. These books were almost impossible for me to put down and I believe I read all three of them in approximately a week.

One of the things I loved about the series as a whole was that each book was written from a different character's perspective. The newest book, Jilted, is written from Lynda Turner's point of view. In the previous two books, you get a slight view into her life but you really get to know her in Jilted

She is a woman in a small town who has dealt with loneliness, sadness and depression since she was left by her husband many years ago. There are so many stories from different people's perspective as to what happened with her marriage, her ex-husband and those who shamed her after he left.

Jilted brings the truth to the forefront and it's a shocker! I love that Jilted had some twists and turns that you would not expect to read in a typical Christian fiction book.

I loved Denman's writing style. These books were awesome and I cannot wait to read more from her!

Jilted Varina Denman

Can all things really work together for good, and can the joy of living be found once again? Don't miss one woman's story in book three, Jilted, of Varina Denman's Mended Hearts series. Lynda Turner has struggled with depression since her husband abandoned her and their young daughter fifteen years ago. Yet unexpected hope awakens when a local ex-convict shows interest. As long-hidden secrets resurface, Lynda must fight for her emotional stability and for a life where the shadow of shame is replaced by the light of love.

  1. Leslie, thank you for reading and reviewing Jilted. I'm glad you enjoyed the Mended Hearts series. (And I have Morgans in my family, so we're probably distant cousins!)
