I've mentioned before that Matt and I do a babysitting swap with another couple. We aren't super consistent with it happening every month but at least once every two months, we go out for a date while they keep Mason. Since Mason is such a good sleeper, we have at home date nights very often after we lay him down for bed.
Anyway, last Sunday, the 8th, Jenn, Jason, and Skylar entertained our little guy while Matt and I went out for a day date.
We tried a restaurant in Greenville called Smoke on the Water and the food was AWESOME! I got turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes and they serve cornbread as their bread before the meal.
Matt got brisket, mac and cheese and coleslaw. They also make their own BBQ sauce so Matt got to try all four of those as well. Both of our meals were perfect.
After lunch, we walked around the park/river area because it was such a beautiful day. After our walk, we stopped in at FunnelDelicious for an Elvis Funnel cake. Funnel cake with PB and bananas...YUM!
After that, we drove a little farther into downtown, parked and walked some more. We stopped at the Mast General store and got a few pieces of candy to add to our Valentine's treats. Then we got coffee/a smoothie at Coffee Underground.
Lastly, we made a stop at Chocolate Moose for some treats for later/the next day. We got a cake ball and a chocolate toffee cupcake. Yes, we met our sugar quota that day!

Meanwhile, Mason was having a blast with his best bud, Skylar! And Miss Jenn!
We are so blessed with sweet friends! And date days with each other? They ROCK!
That sounds like so much fun! We have a gift certificate for Smoke on the Water that we have been needing to use and now you have made me want to go!
