Memory Monday (2nd Edition)

This weekend, Matt and I went to the beach in Destin, FL for a friend's wedding. We had a blast. It was our 9 month anniversary and our first trip to the beach together. We only stayed one night but it was just right.

We drove down on Saturday morning just in time to eat at The Donut Hole and get some donuts to eat on Sunday morning (more on that in a minute). We had grand plans to shop and walk around on Saturday afternoon BUT both of us got limited sleep on Friday night because we were having some stomach issues :-(. So, we ended up napping some of the afternoon and watching football before the wedding.

After watching the LSU game, we got dressed and headed down to the beach for the wedding. The wedding was super simple and beautiful!!! I was so glad that we were able to be there with Cragg and Jansen as they became "Mr. and Mrs. Fitz". The reception was across the street in an AMAZING condo and the food was delicious. Matt and I got to visit with several friends/family from home and that was such a breath of fresh air!!

We left about 9:00 and went back to our condo to relax. We enjoyed our cake and headed to bed. Sunday morning, we headed to the outlet mall for a bit of shopping. We each got a shirt from Gap and some super fun measuring spoons from the Le Creuset store. (They measure smidge, dash and pinch...so cute!). We had lunch at Pomp@ano Joes and then went back to the outlet mall for dessert from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

As we were leaving, we decided to go home a different route than the one we came down. We were so glad we did! We went through Florala, Opp, Luverne, and other small towns. We stopped in Florala at the Florala State Park and it was so beautiful- a nice respite from the long drive. We also discovered that Luverne in the home of Sister Schubert's rolls!!! I got really excited about that....haha.

Overall, it was a great trip. Love making memories with my Man!
