Mason's First Birthday Party {South Carolina}

We decided long before Mason's 1st birthday that we would have two parties. All of my family from Louisiana would not be able to make it to a party in South Carolina so we planned a South Carolina party and a Louisiana party. The theme for the party here at home was "Rainbows" and there were lots of fun little details to go with the theme.
This birthday was also Mason's Golden Birthday since he turned one on the first. So, we played off of the "pot of Gold" at the end of the rainbow as well.

Here are the food tables.

We were glad to have Matt's grandparents and his parents. We also were glad to have two of our local friends and their girls join us too. It was a rainy day and freezing so we were glad for those that came. Our friends from Knoxville were supposed to come but they got stuck at home thanks to the weather.

We ate lunch which included Ham and Cheese hawaiian sandwiches, hot crackers, potato chips, pepperoni bites, rainbow fruit kabobs, and rainbow sprinkles dipped pretzels.

Kris and her girls, E & A.

We opened presents and Mason got some fun things! A few items were a puzzle, a tractor, a water/sand table, stacking blocks, and lots of other fun things!

Mason had lots of help opening presents from S and E which was good because he wasn't as interested as we thought he would be. HAHA!
Also, I wrapped his gifts in the local newspaper that was printed on the day he was born. Just a fun little detail

A LOVED the ribbon!

Matt and I made rainbow cupcakes and a rainbow smash cake and Mason was a big fan! Thanks, Jenn for taking pictures!

We had such a fun time!
