Pocket Prayers by Max Lucado {Book Review}

 I have always been a huge fan of Max Lucado and his books. I read several of his books nearly 15 years ago and then I heard him speak during a concert with Third Day and Michael W. Smith. More recently, I've followed him via social media and just kept up with his inspirational thoughts and quotes.

Because of all of the good things that I knew and loved about Lucado already, I was excited to look into the Pocket Prayers Series that he wrote. The books I received were related to Moms, Graduates, Dads, Military life, Teachers and Friends. I have looked through all of them and think they are so well done.

Each book contains 40 prayers directed at each of the above groups. Lucado wrote the books with various people and I loved that he got input from those who may be able to relate more to one group that he is able to alone.

I love the size of each book because it is great for a bedside table, a coffee table or even easy to put into your purse.

I gave The Pockets Prayers for Dads book to Matt for his birthday and he really likes it. I love that each prayer is associated with a scripture and they are the perfect 1 minute devotion when some encouragement is needed.

I look forward to giving some of the other books to friends when appropriate. In the meantime, I'm enjoying perusing them myself. :)
