Hurricane Season by Lauren Denton {A Book Review}

Hurricane Season is the second book by Lauren K. Denton and while I liked it, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book, The Hideaway. Hurricane Season follows the stories of two sisters, one who is attending an art retreat and one who is taking care of the other sister's children.

I liked the storyline of Betsy, the older sister, more than I liked the story of Jenna, the younger sister. Betsy and her husband live on a farm and they babysit Jenna's two girls while she attends the art retreat. While the storylines were intriguing, in the end, I was left wanting to know more about each of them. The stories were lengthy but not as well developed as I would have enjoyed.

At the very end, the book just kind of ends. That was a bit annoying!

That being said, the book was clean and anyone could read this as a beach read. It's a bit fluffy and honestly, that didn't bother me at all. I just wanted to know more about the characters overall.

**I received this book for free. All opinions are my own.**
