A while back, I reviewed a book called Goodnight, Ark and it is still one of our family's favorite books. When I saw Goodnight, Manger by the same author, I couldn't pass it up!
Goodnight, Manger is a humorous rhyming book and perfect for pre-readers. The book tells a story of what might have happened around that manger scene on that night many years ago when Jesus was born.
I love that while humorous, it also could be similar to what happened. Jesus was a baby and while perfect, he still may have cried. And it was probably noisy on that night, etc. It was just a fun read and we found ourselves laughing aloud several times.
The pictures are vivid and bright and each page drew in my son's attention as he pointed to each animal he saw.
This would make a GREAT book for a child for Christmas since it centers around the birth of Jesus. Mason will enjoy this one for years to come!
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
