Whoa, there are a lot of pictures in this post. BUT it is what it is so here goes!
Our dear friends have a farm on the Southside of Spartanburg. They were going out of town for a week and asked us if we would farm sit and we said YES!
We headed there on Monday morning and Maddox got right to work playing with their toys. :)
Maddox also utilized this week to work on his ability to climb up and down stairs. Trust me, he did it often!
The boys enjoyed the dining room view at every meal. Horses, chickens, squirrels, deer, etc. Never a dull moment.
The boys both loved their big trampoline. Lots and lots of jumping!
Mason called their swings, the "playground" and everyone loved playing there.
Chickens, chickens, chickens!
Hi, pretty girl!
Monday afternoon was for more exploring.
We didn't ride the golf cart but we sat for a water break.
Wonder if he liked that watermelon?!
More stairs...this was a theme for the week.
We went to check the mail and met Matt at the end of the driveway. I drove them while they rode in the back of the truck. Three happy guys.
Farm chores were enjoyed by Mason and I for the most part. He was a GOOD helper!
The whole family got in on it the first night. the began pouring at one point.
Worn out!
Brothers playing. I have to catch footage of when they aren't actually snatching toys, etc. 😳
Yeah, Maddox loved that ole Tupperware drawer.
We played this silly game and it was weird so we made our own rules. Mason won. ;-)
Love these two.
Hello there, Horses!
The farm life can just wear you out!
Oh look, more stairs!
YAY!
Peeping out of the window at deer.
I wanted a picture. He wanted to do his chores.
Yeah, he wasn't interested in pictures either.
"Mom, take a picture of me running fast!" #Done So fast they are blurry! 😊
Seeing a trend here, more stairs.
This bowling game was a HIT. They played with it all week long!
Looking for Daddy.
Well, Daddy came home and we decided to take the golf cart out. Well, it was too wet. Wetter than we realized and we got stuck. BUT we got out! Matt was able to push along with me and we got it out. Then we had to get all of that clay off!
More jumping. Jumping with Dad was the best.
Whoa, Mr. Spider!
That night, Matt and I got to see some more deer. This was one of my favorite parts of the week.
I thought he was playing quietly. I took this picture and then went over and found him trying to eat small pieces. Ugh...
Sweet boy.
He was wrangling the chickens. :)
Maddox loved this toy, too!
#Brothers
Lots of playing.
Hehehe
Just a swinging!
One last morning of chores. He learned so much and was so much more confident by the last day. I was so proud of him.
We are so grateful that our friends gave us this opportunity. We had a blast!
Well, except that rooster chasing Matt but that's a story for another day!
