When A Firetruck Made Me Cry...

We live on a VERY busy street. A day does not go by without us hearing a siren of some kind. This past Friday, Mason and I were reading when we heard a lot of sirens and they were close. Mason peeked outside and saw them across the street. I opened the door and he went out to see what was going on.

We never really saw smoke so we don't know what the issue was but it must have been minimal in the ends because they weren't there long.

Mason got so excited when he saw the firefighters coming out and he went closer to wave. One waved back to him and his day was made!

When they were all pulling out, two of them waved and honked and he was so thrilled! I cried. He admires community heroes and to have them acknowledge him just made me so happy.

He might have his ears covered but he was in hog heaven. It was such an incredible moment.
