When we registered at Babies R Us and Target before Mason was born, one of the most important items I wanted to register for was an activity mat. They are bright and fun with lots of activities for little ones. We ended up choosing the Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies & Lights Deluxe Gym for various reasons. There are approximately 8,000 different mats to choose from so we just had to look at a few reviews and decide which was most visually appealing to us.
We waited until Mason was 6 weeks to put the mat out because he was just starting to really focus on things. It was easy to put together and it is also easy to disable to store if needed. We LOVE it and at 9 1/2 weeks Mason loves it too.
When we first put it out, he would really just stare at the colored lights. As time as gone by, he has begun to dance some to the music. He also looks at this face in the attached mirror and he is smiling all of the time while the music is playing and the lights are flashing.
Overall, we are so pleased with this activity mat and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mat for their little one.
By the way, I did not review this for Fisher Price just for me. :)
