Western North Carolina Nature Center {May 2019}

Last week, we headed up to Asheville to check out the Western North Carolina Nature Center with our sweet friends! It ended up being a beautiful day and we stayed for FIVE hours!!
First stop (after the bathroom 😉), was the petting zoo area. We didn't pet anything but we enjoyed looking. :) Mason takes a bit to settle in and was constantly saying, "Okay, let's go (to the next exhibit)." Once he settled in, he chilled out a bit.

The bears are under there. We saw them again a bit later walking around but I didn't get any pictures. 🤷‍♀️

This center was so incredible. They rescue and bring in animals from the Appalachian mountain area that cannot survive in the wild etc.

There was a slide built into this rocky area and the kids loved it.

We got to listen to a turtle presentation and the kids attended so well and asked some good questions!! They also got to touch the turtle. :)

Love my boys...

Then we saw snakes mating. 😳

They had some great little play areas throughout the center and at this one, the kids built a structure. Mason was the only one who wanted to take his picture with it.

I love this sweet girl!

These kind of freaked me out. 😑

The otters were visited more than once so they were obviously a hit!

After all of our fun, Maddox was fighting sleep but he gave in. Love pictures of kids sleeping in cars.

We love our friends and we are BIG fans of this nature center! We will definitely be going back!
