Maddox's Birthday Week {4}

Birthday Weeks for the Morgan boys are definitely a favorite at our house. Each day, we do something special. It may be small like a special balloon or bigger like a dinner out. It changes every year and is very fluid and fun. The boys love it especially!

On the first day of birthday week, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's for an outdoor picnic! It was the first time in nearly 3 months that we'd all been dressed. 😂

It was a surprise to the boys that Grandmom and Granddad now have CHICKENS!

We were outside for our visit and it was a good day for it. We had a great time visiting, eating and playing.

Grandmom is a good chicken-mom!

We were so impressed with Granddad's coop building abilities!! It is so NICE!

Day 2 of birthday week brought the premiere of a new show on PBS that they boys had been waiting for as well as blueberry muffins for breakfast!

We ended up with a car issue and we asked our friend to check the engine light for us. That also brought about an unexpected visit with our sweet friends!

And I also got a magnolia bloom from Kris!

Mason's apple chip came with a special extra - the stem! He thought this was hilarious!

We decided to add on to the garden one of those afternoons as well. Maddox didn't do much work but Mason did!

Maddox asked to stay inside and play. He came out on the front porch like this! 😂

Family Dance party was the next birthday week treat! It was so fun! Maddox got to pick all of the music for this one!

Snuggs.

On this day, the treat was Funyuns. Maddox had been asking for them. Turns out, he doesn't even like them but he'd been asking about them for the rest of us. ❤️❤️❤️ (This is a screen grab from the video and obviously not a very good one.)

The boys road bikes at the church that day which was fun and when we got home, I gave them lunchables! They love these and I rarely buy them. They were intended for another day but when Funyuns were a fail, I resorted to giving them early!

Also, the glue finally came off of his face. They said 5-7 days and it took 16. 🤷‍♀️

Outside time is the best time. However, when this guy is ready to go in, he's ready to go in. 😂

The next day's treat was initially different as well but when I ended up having to be tested for COVID and quarantine until I got results, we had to change it up!
A sucker made him happy as can be!

Sweet sleepy guy!

Because I was quarantined, Matt and the boys were on their own for 3+ days while I sat in our bedroom. Not exactly how I hoped to finish out the birthday week.
We got our first tomato!

Happy as can be working on his radishes that he planted.

Daddy trimmed their hair a bit so they could actually SEE!

Matt got the all clear from our landlord to take down the dead/dying tree in the front yard and Mason caught some pictures of him in action!

That night, the birthday treat was PIZZA!! Thanks to a gift card and some sweet friends sending Maddox some birthday money!

Last pictures with that 3 year old!

The birthday set up (which is still set up in July) was simple and fun!

The very last picture of him at 3. Matt said he snapped it just before midnight. ❤️
