Ordinary Graces {A Book Review}

For some reason, I am often drawn to devotionals (which I am awful at finishing) and books like Ordinary Graces which is tagged as "word gifts for any season". These books help me breathe deeper during day to day mundane tasks, on those harder days and even on those super bright days, too.

Ordinary Graces by Lucinda Secrest McDowell is unique in that it offers encouraging words for four different areas: grace, strength, gratitude and life. Each section has 30 different entries that are two pages long. Each entry begins with a scripture, shares an encouraging word and then has a short section of words written as though God were speaking those directly to the reader.

I truly think this book is a great little bedside table book, coffee table book or guest bedroom book. You can read one entry at a time for whatever situation you are in and need God's encouragement. This could be a great book for teachers, too.

**I received this book from the publisher for review. See below for a giveaway.**
