Staycation 2020 {Part 2}

Monday, August 3rd, was the twins' due date. It was nice to wake up to the boys so happy from a special night in the "hotel". They had room service for breakfast including cinnamon rolls and sausage. They got snacks to finish their TV and get ready to check out at 10. Matt and I finished watching A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

Received some sweet texts. ❤️❤️❤️

These boys were TIRED after their hotel stay so we laid low.

My friend, Meghan, dropped this off. Such a kind gesture.

My friend, Rachel, sent this and I absolutely love it. I've framed it and have it on our desk.

My friend, Jill, sent this. We were well loved on a hard emotional day. So So grateful.

We ate leftovers for lunch and just relaxed.

It was the final Little Debbie Taste Test and we tallied the results.

The rest of the day consisted of Despicable Me, board games, Kid's Baking Championship and Chick-Fil-A for the boys Then Matt made this amazing Crispy Cheese Pan Pizza. It was LEGIT! We ate it while watching our current show, Madam Secretary.

 The next morning we were up and at 'em early. We grabbed a McDonald's breakfast and headed to Paris Mountain State Park. We explored Turtle Trail and Lake Placid Loop  as well as Mountain Creek Trail. The following pictures are from our hike.

We headed from there to grab lunch. This was our first restaurant dining experience in months. Matt took the boys to one other place earlier in the summer but I had not been anywhere. Of course, it was one of our favorites, PDQ. The food was good but they changed their fries and we really liked their old fries so that was a bit of a bummer.

We left there and went to Duck Donuts to grab donuts for the next morning. Ideally, you eat their donuts right then but we didn't want them because were headed to...Whit's!! If you are close to a Whit's, run don't walk. AMAZING.

That night, we relaxed and had a grazing dinner. It was a FULL day!

Again, worn out!
